I am old enough to remember the first ever
Earth Day celebration when I was a child. It was memorable because schools were encouraged to make this day an educational experience. The fact that I so clearly remember this specific day in 1970 is telling. It's a testament to the impactful role teachers can play in influencing young minds. This year, schools throughout the country are organizing similar initiatives. The hope here is that they too can influence and inspire future generations to take an active role in protecting our environment.
